Five Minutes

Recently listened a podcast about serotonin diet. There are research about that and it is harmful to use especially instagram and other social apps. Those apps give you little happiness boost. Mostly you not even notice that when did you open the app. When you feel weak or sad whatever, you use this apps to feel better. However mostly people find themselves even worse state. That is related the capacity of brain. Brain is good at focus to one topic at one time. Your focus is pushing to change every 30 sec via social apps. It may feel like fun, but it is not. On the long run you may lost you ability to focus anything. In order to prevent the undesirable outcome, people should reduce their time of usage of apps.

Today I tried that. I went for a walk without headphones. It is a big deal. Headphones give you freedom in the crowded places. Rarely someone ask you something. Otherwise you are an invisible. So I like to use my headphones (If you are using while walking on pavements, always make sure the volume is not too high. You have to know what is around especially when you cross the road). In the beginning I wanted to get back and start listen something. I kept walking through city centre. It was cloudy. Some says, the rainfall is only five minutes away so always you need a backup plan. I didn’t have one. So I looked for a cover. I couldn’t find anything. I run a bit. I don't know where I was. I kept running in unknown streets. Finally I found a tree for cover. I was standing under the purple flower tree. There were cars passing by. There was rainfall too. I couldn’t easily look around because of sun. I stood there like five minutes. I observed to world. I saw the people who are running. Some of them was already soaked, they were walking slowly. I looked at the architecture of the old buildings. Without any distractions, you can notice the cars, people, dogs and architecture. The main point of this writing is that remind you to have a break. Reduce your online time. There is a life out there. Walk around the streets. Get a coffee and watch the birds.
